Born
and raised in the Bronx, this Latin beauty was blessed to have
supportive parents who exposed her music, especially since birth. She
remembers her parents late night parties with her father Julio playing
the Conga's and her mother Santa dancing to the rhythm. Julio who's
first brake in the 70's was to record an album as a percussionist lived
for Salsa Music. He knew by listening to an album who was who from the
vocalist to the Bongo player. Her parents had a tremendous influence on
Sol's music career. Her first entry into the entertainment was at the
age of 9 when a recruiter held auditions at her neighborhood which she
attended and became a finalist for. This would be her very first big
brake she was asked to perform for a charity event in Central Park as
an open act for Brenda K. Starr, Coro, Cynthia & Fat Boys which
were all very popular in the 1980's. This would be the match that lit
the fire for Sol!
Sol's passion only became intense when she attended Junior High School
for the performing arts Rafael Hernandez and found that although
R&B & Freestyle were to here liking that something was missing.
One day while at a NYC nightclub she witness the performance of Frankie
Ruiz and Los Hermanos Colon she felt like she found herself. This is
what I was missing? She claims she knew right then and there that her
passion for music was in Salsa Music! The rhythm, the dance, the sound,
the live music. A few years later Los Hermanos Colon ask if she would
record a song on their album "Abriendo Nuevos Caminos" and she recorded
"Cuando Una Mujer" a song she fell in love with.
With the release of her debut album "Si Te Vas" and with strong support
of her family and friends, Sol hopes to present her own positive
outlook on life and to help bring a unity amongst Latinos through her
music.

Nacida y criada en el Bronx, esta belleza Latina fue bendecida al tener unos padres que la expusieron a la música y la apoyaron, especialmente desde su nacimiento. Ella recuerda las fiestas que sus padres hacían hasta altas horas de la noche, con su papa Julio tocando la conga y su mama santa bailando al ritmo de la música. La primera oportunidad de Julio fue en los años 70 cuando grabo un álbum como percusionista, el vivía por la Salsa. El aprendió al escuchar un álbum quien era quien, desde el vocalista a el que tocaba las congas. Los padres tuvieron mucha influencia en la carrera de Sol. Su primer entrada al mundo de el entretenimiento fue cuando a los 9 años un recluta llevo audiciones ala vecindad a la cual sol atendió y llego como finalista. Esta fue la primera gran oportunidad que le pidieron que actuara en un evento de caridad que fue llevado a cabo en el Parque Central de Nueva York al abrir acto para Brenda K. Starr, Coro, Cynthia Y The Fat Boys quienes fueron muy populares in los 80’s. Esta fue la llama que encendió’ el fuego para Sol.
La pasión de Sol se convirtió mas intensa cuando fue a la escuela de Artes y fael Hernández donde se dio cuenta que aunque el R & B y el Freestyle eran de su gusto, les hacia falta algo mas. Un día, mientras estuvo en un club en la ciudad de Nueva York ella vio a Frankie Ruiz y Los Hermanos Colón y sintió que se encontró ella misma. Era esto lo que me estaba perdiendo? Ella dice que fue en ese momento cuando se dio cuenta que su pasión era por la salsa. El ritmo, el baile, el sonido, la música en vivo. Unos años después, Los Hermanos Colón le pidieron que grabara una canción en su álbum “Abriendo Nuevos Caminos” y fue cuando ella grabo “Cuando Una Mujer” una canción de la cual ella se enamoro.
Con la salida de su álbum y el debut de “Si Te Vas” y con el fuerte apoyo de su familia y amistades, Sol espera representar una vista positiva de la vida y ayudar a traer unidad entre Latinos a través de su música.
